Café ZILT is a small and intimate whisky and beer bar on the Zeedijk, in the very heart of Amsterdam. Here you can enjoy over 160 whisky's and more than 120 beers. We welcome you and hope you will feel at home.

We are proud to present close to 300 single malts, blends, Bourbon en Rye whiskey from all across the world. Discover Bruichladdich's Octomore's, Kavalan's Solist, Colonel E.H. Taylor's Bourbon, Middleton Very Rare and Lot 40 Canadian Rye.

Indulge in over 80 beers
Our assortment of beers always features 12 beers on tap. Hertog Jan Pilsener and seasonal Hertog Jan beers are fixed items but with the other 10 taps we try to vary with as many styles and flavours as possible. We have trained our focus on Dutch and more so on very local brewers. Blonde, bitter, sweet and IPA's; anything goes. In our cellar we keep a stock of darker and more potent beers, many of which are cask matured for just the richt occasion. Maybe you wil make it a special occasion.

Hertog Jan Pilsener and Hertyog Jan seasonal beers are fixed items but the other ten leave enough possibility to of you a wide range of styles and flavours. We are focused on Dutch brewers in general and more and more on brewers from Amsterdam and surroundings. We have approximately 70 beers in cans and bottles and keep a number of mostly darker and potent beers that are of cask matured in our cellar, waiting for a special occasion. Maybe you will instigate the next occasion.

Book a whisky tasting session
From € 44,- we will serve you a selection of six whisky's along with a few complimentary bites. In order to give you and your party the attention you deserve, we recommend you make a reservation.
ZILT regularly organises open tasting sessions on a central theme. We post our events on our website as well as on our Google and Facebook pages.
Rum, gin and jenever
Don't forget to take a look at our range of spirits next to our whisky's. We have tried to put together an above-average selection, including Naga, Plantation and Clément Rum, Ocho Tequila, Ilegal Mezcal, Chateau Montifaud Cognac and Bobby's Gin. You can also choose from a wide range of very special jenevers from: 't Nieuwe Diep, Filliers, van Wees and De Moor.
